Home Made Face Masks

So it's been a little while since my first post, I don't think as yet anyone is really reading my blog posts but not to worry, it's nice to have somewhere to record my own thoughts and experiences anyway.

I am still having massive amounts of problems with dry, sensitive skin. The Oilatum is definately helping but I've been looking for some extra nourishment.

I have also been super poor of late as all money now goes on college and building up a kit so I have been experimenting with home made face masks...

Face mask 1: 1x Egg Yolk, 1tbs Honey, 1tsp Olive Oil (Makes enough for 2-3 masks)

Face mask 2: Banana, Honey, Olive Oil (No particular quantities, I just mixed them until I got an ok consistancy)

Both masks were a little runnier than I'd have liked, I think I may need to work on getting the right consistancy but both made my skin feel really smooth and moisturised after use. I leave them on for around 10 minutes and just rinse with warm water and store the left overs in the fridge after use. I think home made masks are definately the way forward as you know exactly what is in them and know all ingredients are natural and fresh. A lot of shop bought ones also contain alcohol which is my opinion is never good for the skin, even if you are oily.

I am going to continue on my quest to combat this dry, red skin problem I am having so I shall post any new discoveries.
